Empire American Holdings buys largest D.C.-area apartment community

Springhill Lake

Empire American Holdings has purchased a 2,877-unit apartment community in Greenbelt, Md., from AIMCO.

Al Cissel and Scott Melnick of Transwestern represented AIMCO in the transaction.

Known as Springhill Lake, the property, which is the largest apartment community in the region, is located at 9230 Springhill Dr. in Greenbelt. It's within minutes of downtown Washington, D.C.
