5/20/2008First Industrial sells portions of Minnesota portfolio for $19M
by Eric RamsdenFirst Industrial Realty Trust, in two separate transactions, has sold 479,374 square feet of its industrial portfolio in Minneapolis and Bloomington, Minn., for more than $19 million. The transactions was negotiated by Mark Kolsrud, Matthew Klein, Shawn Moore and Pia Roberston of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker. The Minneapolis property is comprised of two buildings at 770 and 800 Kasota Ave. and contain 318,006 square feet. The Bloomington transaction involved two buildings located within the Normandale Tech Center at 6403 and 6507 Cecilia Drive. They contain 161,368 square feet. Kolsrud is a senior vice president with CTMT and is a senior member of the firm's Institutional Investment Department. He specializes in the direction of private and institutional investment sales in the Minneapolis area. Klein is a senior associate and has been with CTMT since 2003. He specializes in the sale of investment properties throughout the Twin Cities area and was employed by CB Richard Ellis from 2000-2003. Moore, an associate with CTMT, has been with the company since 2005. He is a former intern with the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas.
