4/11/2008JV sells South Carolina shopping center for $13M
by Greensboro, N.C.-based Alliance Commercial Investments has paid $13.01 million to a joint venture between Melbourne, Fla.-based
Corporate Property Group and McDonald Properties for the Cherry Road Crossing retail center in Rock Hill, S.C.
The deal was brokered by
Mike Burkard and
Steve Shields of
CB Richard Ellis' Charlotte office on behalf of the selling venture.
Cherry Road Crossing is a newly-built neighborhood shopping center located at 2102 Cherry Rd. It's currently anchored by a 63,241 square foot Super Bi-Lo with 15,649 square feet of shops including Cato Fashions and Sally Beauty.
Burkard is a senior VP with CBRE and joined the company in its Washington, D.C., office in 1987 and then moved on to join the Investment Properties division in Charlotte in 2000. He has been a top five producer in the Carolinas since 2003.
Shields, a sales associate, has been with CBRE since 2004 when he joined the company as a financial analyst. He has had a variety of operational and financial roles in Denver, Colorado and Charlotte. He was CBRE's 2004 "Rookie of the Year."
